The 3 Witches of Horloose

Welcome to Molvania, the wonderfully undiscovered region in the North-East-ish part of Europe.

Molvania boast wonderful nature, occasionally intersected by glorious motorways and brilliant petrol stations.

To prove that there is lots to see, we publish here a picture taken in Horloose in the Great Central Valley of Molvania.

Legend tells that these trees are all that remains of the 3 terrible witches in the Molvanian Folktale of Grindelwald.

Grindelwald was a young soldier who deserted a war with the Kazachis in 1755 and was going to be eaten by three witches called Anon, Graymalkin and Paddock.

But he had a cunning plan and with the aid of two coconuts he managed to turn them into trees.

And they have been there ever since.

(a local farmer disputes this story and swears he planted the trees himself a couple of years ago, but local authorities claim the farmer is just a drunken old fart)
